Gujarat has announced that they will now accept the score of students appearing for GUJCET Entrance test 2017 only for admission to engineering colleges within Gujarat. Why government made such announcements needs a few clarifications to the students. This article will help to throw some light and avoid the general confusion. Yes, State of Gujarat has come up with the new exam for the professional courses in engineering and pharmacy. As per a recent article published in Times of India, the new processes gas has been pulled after the education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama received an application from the students to stop making JEE Main 2017 compulsory for admission into the courses. Moreover, the report also says that the state in the present academic session in of 2015 and 2016 has given admission to those students who have not appeared for JEE Main. It is not so that the opinion of the students and the management of the colleges are taken into consideration for this aspect. However, the opinions of the various stakeholders are also being taken into consideration to know whether GUJCET Entrance Tests 2017 should actually replace JEE Main 2017.What is the reason behind the replacement of JEE Main 2017 with GUJCET Entrance tests?Let us dig deeper and find out the valid reason for such a swift decision in a particular state.A number of students want to move out of the state to take up higher education. This is a big relief for a number of student’s as many as one lakh. For them, GUJCET will be a grand chance to seek admission easily. However, students seeking admission elsewhere other than Gujarat need to take up JEE or other national level tests.GUJCET Entrance Tests 2017 will likely be based on Semester 3 and Semester 4 of class 12 of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board that makes the exam easier and much more eager and curious students can take up since JEE syllabus was tough compared to Gujarat’s secondary syllabus. Even in the recent news, it is shown that Gujarat’s ex-chief minister Anandiben Patel has asked the education department to do the needful and help the students who are willing to stay in the state and study. So those interested won't be compelled to take up JEE main 2017. Some other states like Tamil Nadu also follow the same model to give more chances to the students of their state. demo
