Goa Engineering College and National Institute of Technology Goa are government funded colleges whereas the private engineering colleges include Don Bosco College of Engineering at Fatorda, Shree Rayeshwar Institute of Engineering and Information Technology at Shiroda, Agnel Institute of Technology and Design (AITD), etc. These B.Tech colleges in Goa provide various trades in B.Tech like: B.Tech in Bio technology, chemical engineering, B.Tech in electronics and communication engineering, . Students are advised to keep a check for the eligibility criteria for different B.Tech colleges in Goa, The Goa colleges of engineering requires 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC) IN 10+2. Goas university requires 70%. Most colleges accept the ranks of JEE Mains/advance and GATE for admission, whereas some conduct segregated exams like that in Birla institute (BIT SAT). GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance examination organized by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa, for the admission in B.E Courses in the Goa state.
Fees and Scholarships Given By B.Tech colleges in Goa:
Fee structure is different for government funded and private institutions. A government aided college like NITG will cost around 2 lakh for a standard 4 year B.Tech course. Any private/public college is bound to be a little heftier, like BITS can cost nearly 8 lakh for its B.Tech course. (Fees may vary as per the specialization as well lateral entry and Mtech course). Goa colleges also provide institutional scholarships to aspirants for Btech.
