Gujarat Common Entrance Test Exam 2018(GUJCET)

GUJCET is state entrance exam for engineering of Gujarat.The entrance examination of provides admissions to all eligible candidates in the engineering institutes of Gujarat. Dates for the 2018 exam is not declared yet, but it is expected to be announced soon. GUJCET 2018 examination will be conducted tentatively in the second week of May 2018 jointly by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) and Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). All examination related events such as registration, publication of admit card, conduction of examination and announcement of result will be done by GSEB. 

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will be the admission conducting body and will be responsible for the counselling and seat allotment process. All candidates will have to meet the eligibility criteria of GUJCET 2018 to participate in the exam. Final result of the exam will be based on the merit list; based on 60% weightage on 10+2 qualifying examination marks and 40% weightage on GUJCET 2018 marks. Mode of the examination will be pen and paper but  counselling and seat allotment process will be held in online mode for all qualified candidates. No admissions will be provided if the candidates have not qualified GUJCET examination. GUJCET 2018 Exam Dates

GUCET is most important engineering exam of Gujarat. GUJCET is conducted for the students seeking undergraduate engineering admissions in Gujarat. It is a state level examination taken after +2 for Btech admissions. For year 2018 the dates for GUCET exams are not declared yet but it is expected to be released soon. 

Tentatively it is expected that first official notification of GUJCET will be announced in the month of December and the application process will start from last week of march. Deadline for making the application will be third week of April.  GUJCET 2018 exam will take place in the month of May. Detailed important dates for GUJCET exams are mentioned below.

GUJCET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

For candidates to take GUJCET he/she must have passed 10+2 examination from a board recognized by Indian government or 10+3 (three years of diploma after 10th) from recognized state of central institute. The candidate must have minimum of 40% aggregate in 10+2 or 10+3. Candidates in the final year of 10+2 or 10+3 can also apply, provided they pass the exam by June 2018 or prior. There is no age limit to take the test. 

Key Points are mentioned below.

  • The candidate should be of Indian nationality.
  • All candidates of Gujarat domicile are eligible to apply for GUJCET. Residents of Gujarat who are residing in other states of the country will also be eligible for GUJCET 2018.
  • Candidate should have qualified 10+2 (or equivalent) examination from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Gandhinagar/CBSE, Delhi/CISCE, New Delhi/NIOS/International School Board.
  • Candidates who will be completing their 10+2 (or equivalent) examination in 2018 will also be eligible for admission.
  • Minimum score of 45% has to be secured by the candidates in the qualifying exam. The reserved category candidates will have to score 40% marks.

GUJCET Exam Application Process

Application process have not started yet but it is expected to start from the month of march 2018. It will continue till march. Exact dates will be announced soon by the conducting body. Application process for GUCET is entirely online. Before the registration candidate will have to pay the fees in the designated centers of GUJCET. After this the user ID will be generated and registration will take place thereafter.

GUJCET Exam Fee Details

Fees for GUJCET 2018 is INR 300. The candidate need to first submit the application fees at the designated GUJCET center. After the submission of the fees the candidate will be given a user ID and password and then only they can make the registrations for the GUJCET exam.
